Job summary

POET is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support the grain procurement team, manage mail and office operations, and serve as the HR liaison at our Lake Crystal, MN site.

You will handle procurement-related tasks, onboarding, payroll support, and visitor management while maintaining strong relationships with local grain producers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability of learning new programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support grain contract administration and periodic audits, while adhering to regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local grain producers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for team member inquiries within Human Resources.
  • Assist with payroll processing on a biweekly basis, handling confidential information with integrity.
  • Help with recruitment and onboarding, including new hire paperwork and providing onboarding support.
  • Greet visitors courteously and direct them as appropriate.
  • Perform inventory counts for spare parts assets to ensure system accuracy.
  • Coordinate Record Retention activities with the General Manager.
  • Distribute the daily mail and maintain workrooms and inventories of supplies.
  • Foster a culture of safety and environmental compliance.

In this position, you will support the grain procurement team through interactions with local grain producers and administration of grain contracts. You will be the liaison between the human resources team and the local team members. You will be responsible for greeting visitors and ensuring they have an exceptional experience. You will have ownership of the mail, workrooms, and office supplies. You will perform inventory cycle counts for spare parts assets to ensure system accuracy. You will serve as part of the qualification team to assist your leaders in reviewing and onboarding service providers to ensure they are compliant with POET qualification requirements. This includes coordinating communication between leaders/vendors/contractors and may also require collecting documentation to help the team evaluate and mitigate potential risk for each.Hours: Monday - Friday, day shiftPay: $23 - $28 per hour, depending on experienceThis is an on-site role located in Lake Crystal, MN. Responsibilities include:Supporting grain contract administration and periodic audits, while adhering to regulatory compliance.Building and maintaining relationships with local grain producers.Serving as the first point of contact for team member inquiries within the realm of Human Resources (with a dedicated Human Resources Team as a resource).
