The Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) seeks an Administrative Assistant to support multiple programs with keen attention to detail and strong communication. This hourly, part-time role requires independence, organization, and the ability to manage several projects in parallel.

The position works in the IASP office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8:00 am–3:00 pm ET, with potential remote work one day per week and occasional additional flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and FileMaker.
  • Experience with digital media tools for print, audio, and video content.

  • Utilize FileMaker to update and maintain records for memberships, school memberships, and entries.
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors for programs and conferences.
  • Maintain award inventories and order awards for competitions and conferences.
  • Assist with preparation of event materials for Academic Competitions and conferences.
  • Provide logistical support for the Cheer Championship events.
  • Assist with publications using digital tools and technology.
  • Assist with communications on registrations and recognition programs.
  • Maintain office supplies and calendars.
  • Assist with website updates.

About the job

The IASP Administrative Assistant will serve in a vital support role for all programs that are coordinated by the Indiana Association of School Principals. A person in this role will be skilled in collaboration, communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects at one time. This hourly, part-time position will work in the IASP office three days a week with the potential for remote work one additional day per week.

Position Description
  • Utilizing the FileMaker database software to update and maintain records pertaining to IASP memberships, school memberships, and competition entries.
  • Communicating and coordinating with vendors for academic programs and for conferences.
  • Maintaining award inventories and ordering awards, plaques, and trophies for competitions and conferences.
  • Assisting with the preparation of event materials for the Academic Competitions and for all conferences.
  • Providing logistical support for the IASP Cheer Championship events.
  • Assisting with IASP publications by utilizing digital tools and technology.
  • Assisting with communications on registrations and recognition programs.
  • Maintaining office supplies and calendars.
  • Assisting with website updates.
Qualifications
  • Applicants should be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting program and event deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat programs, and FileMaker is desired.Training is available as needed to enhance skill development.
  • Knowledge of digital media tools for the production of print, audio, and video content.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Light to moderate lifting is possible.
Schedule
  • This part-time hourly position is designed to work in the IASP office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the potential for remote work on Wednesday or Friday.
  • Daily schedule is 8:00 am – 3:00 pm ET
