Job summary

California Autism Center and Learning Group is seeking an Office Assistant to support our administrative team at the central office in the Central Valley. The role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment and the ability to execute tasks with minimal direction.

This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Office Manager with a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:00am to 6:30pm; no remote work is available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative work experience.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
  • Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and represent company policies and procedures accurately and enthusiastically.
  • Provide clerical and operational support to administrative staff to improve office efficiency.
  • Contribute to a positive, safe, and ethical work environment.
  • Perform general administrative tasks: calls, scanning, emailing, data entry, filing, and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for technicians and clients, balancing availability and needs.
  • Facilities management including opening/closing, vendor coordination, upkeep of equipment, light janitorial duties, and safety compliance.
