The Administrative Assistant III position will support the GYN Oncology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in the Longwood area of Boston, MA.
This is an on-site role, working Monday through Friday, first shift. Following three months of successful onboarding, the incumbent may work a hybrid schedule.
The Administrative Assistant III provides high-level administrative, scheduling, and patient-support services for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. This role supports providers, nurses, and patients within a complex specialty and requires exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities include appointment coordination, referral management, surgical scheduling support, insurance verification, and maintenance of the electronic medical record using the EPIC system.
Provides administrative support to physicians in their clinical, academic, research and leadership roles.
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
