Job Summary

Reporting to the school dean or associate dean, this position's central focus is supporting the work of department chairs as assigned by the dean. The Administrative Assistant II works in an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging environment that often involves multitasking and managing a variety of projects and requests. The Administrative Assistant II frequently handles sensitive and/or highly confidential material and is a vital member of the team responding to internal and external demands.

Responsibilities
  • Schedules courses and departmental meetings
  • Provides event support such as arranging room reservations
  • Takes minutes in departmental meetings
  • Coordinates facility use and assists with space management
  • Processes course related changes for students (e.g., course overrides, waitlist, instructor approval for classes, learning community course changes)
  • Prepares updates and reports highlighting faculty accomplishments and publications
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree
  • Associate degree and two or more years of experience in an administrative support capacity or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
  • Two or more years of experience supporting multiple people or departments
  • Higher education experience
Proposed Salary

$34,800 - $41,700; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate¿s experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
