Job summary

Northampton Community College is seeking an experienced adjunct faculty member to teach in the Special Education program. This part-time teaching opportunity may be available at the Bethlehem, PA campus, the Monroe campus in Tannersville, PA, or online, beginning spring 2023.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to communicate and scaffold learning, apply adult learning principles, and utilize technology to support teaching.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Special Education from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• College teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and effectively communicate, scaffold, and assess students learning and application of course and program outcomes.
• Demonstrate understanding and use of adult learning principles, including the use of culturally relevant teaching.
• Understand the discipline and possess advanced knowledge in DEI principles.
• Demonstrate experience and expertise in using technology to support teaching and learning
