Job summary

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking qualified part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach Sociology face-to-face daytime courses at the Springfield main campus and at Taylorville, Litchfield, Jacksonville, and Beardstown locations.

Adjuncts receive one paid absence per class per semester, access to the LLCC Fitness Center during hours, a travel stipend for commutes over twenty miles, and a tuition waiver for adjuncts and dependents under 22. They may also participate in SURS.

Qualifications

• Adjunct instructors teach face-to-face Sociology courses.
• Part-time daytime position at multiple campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sociology classes at LLCC main campus in Springfield and at Taylorville, Litchfield, Jacksonville and Beardstown.
• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and course content.
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback.

Adjunct Faculty Member

As an Adjunct Faculty member at LLCC, you will receive one paid absence per class, per semester;

• free access to the LLCC Fitness Center (during available hours);
• a travel stipend if commuting more than twenty miles to campus;
• and a tuition waiver benefit for adjunct faculty and their dependents under the age of 22.

Adjuncts with qualifying assignments also participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).
