Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related Science field is required.
• Ability to use personal computers for word processing, inventories, OCR, etc., is required.
• Must meet standards now or in the future as required by the Tennessee Board of Regents and SACSCOC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach classes as assigned and per course descriptions, syllabi, and guidelines.
• Begin and end classes as scheduled and cover learning outcomes for each course.
• Maintain academic standards and classroom behavior to foster learning; communicate with students weekly and respond to emails promptly.
• Evaluate students using varied methods and report scores timely; maintain student records.
• Use Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and respond to student questions accordingly.
• Meet deadlines for administrative requests, contracts, and assessment reports; finalize grades.
• Request equipment, supplies, and textbooks through department chairs or leads; coordinate with instructors as needed.
• May prepare culture media, chemicals, reagents, and solutions; set up labs with required materials and equipment.
