Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking adjunct RN faculty to teach in Colorado Med/Surg clinicals and labs. This PRN role requires travel within the Denver area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs. Pay ranges from $60/hour for day clinicals to $70/hour for night clinicals, and $50/hour for labs.

Candidates should have BSN; MSN preferred and may enroll in MSN programs; multi-state RN license and drug/competency testing are required.

Qualifications

• MSN preferred; BSN required with immediate enrollment in MSN Leadership or MSN Education program, paid by the university.
• BSN with proof of at least 9 graduate credits or a national certification related to the content area.
• Minimum 2 years' recent Med/Surg nursing experience with an MSN, and a compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach knowledge and skills for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with faculty to evaluate student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Stay current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe performance and support labs/clinicals.
