Qualifications

• 3 years' Behavioral Health/Psych Health experience with BSN.
• Active, current, multi-state RN license.
• Must pass drug test and competency testing.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to provide evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Remain current with trends and development in nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements.
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance.
• Support the university program in all areas including alignment with the institution's philosophy and community service.

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Clinical Nursing faculty members, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Nursing students.

This PRN adjunct position requires travel within the Denver (Englewood), Colorado area to directly observe student performance, when scheduled for clinical rotations. Pay is $60/HR for day clinicals, $70/HR for night clinicals. $50/HR for Labs – Labs have no grading requirements. Note: Primary role is Clinical Adjunct

What you need:

• MSN Preferred.
• BSN required.
• BSNs will be required to enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program, immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU OR BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught.
• Please specify your graduate credits OR national certification on your resume.
• 3 years' recent Behavioral Health/Psych Health experience, with a BSN.
• An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students

What you will do:

• Remain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practice

• Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
• Travel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performance
• Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
