Job summary

Center for Allied Health Education is seeking a Radiography Instructor in New York to lead lab, clinical and didactic sessions. The role involves preparing lessons, evaluating student progress, and ensuring compliance with program policies.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, national radiography certification, and ideally 2+ years of radiography experience along with teaching experience. Some certifications (BLS/ACLS) may be required as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Current registration/certification from a nationally recognized Radiography credentialing agency.
• Certification in any specialty areas in which they instruct is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time Radiography experience.
• Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and executes lab, clinical and didactic sessions effectively.
• Supervises and instructs students during lab, clinical and didactic sessions.
• Ensures proper skill instruction and evaluates students' progress in all settings.
• Monitors student attendance across all applications.
• Generates oral or written reports for all students.
• Maintains accurate records of students' performance and activities during skill sessions.
• Ensures proper supervision of students during skill practice sessions.
• Acts as an objective evaluator during skill examinations and evaluations.
• Collaborates with the program director to periodically review and revise course materials.
• Pursues continuous professional development to stay current with the professional discipline and educational methodologies.
• Collaborates with the program director to integrate updated knowledge into the curriculum.
• Maintains open communication channels and promptly addresses any challenges or problems.

Program objectives

• Remains knowledgeable about program goals and objectives.
• Understands both lab and didactic objectives and evaluation systems.

Preparation and execution of lab, clinical and didactic applications

• Ensures proper supervision of students during skill practice sessions.

• Collaborates with the program director to periodically review and revise course materials.
• Ensures student compliance with program policies and guidelines.

Clinical Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of fulltime experience in Radiography
• Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable
