Collin College seeks part-time adjunct instructors to deliver courses across campuses in McKinney, TX. In-person teaching is required; some evenings and weekends may be scheduled. Dual credit assignments could be included as needed.

In accordance with Texas Education Code §51.992, this position is designated for in-person work at a campus or other location of Collin College. Remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific circumstances defined by law, including temporary illness, approved distance education assignments, or other narrow statutory exceptions. All candidates should expect to perform duties on-site. Candidates are also encouraged to review this in-person requirement and reach out with any questions if further clarification is needed.
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

If selected for a dual credit course(s), an additional backgroundcheck requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required from the assigned ISD. Any questions related to the fingerprinting processshould be directed to the ISD to which the faculty member is being assigned.

Please note, our part time faculty positions are posted based on anticipated need and student enrollment. This position may remain open during the academic year.
