Job summary

Houston Christian University is seeking an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Physics to teach foundational physics courses and labs as part of our Christian liberal arts environment.

The candidate will join a department expanding course sections and will contribute to student learning and the integration of faith and science. A Master’s in Physics is required with a strong teaching track; a Doctorate is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physics with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Physics.
  • Doctorate in Physics and a demonstrated record of quality teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching basic courses and laboratories in physics, based on the needs of the college.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Physics is currently seeking adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and student learning in a Christian work environment. With the growth of many of our programs and the increase in our student population as a whole, we will be offering more sections of many courses. We are currently seeking adjunct faculty who can teach lower level and general physics lectures and laboratories.
