Job summary

OSU-Oklahoma City is seeking an adjunct lecturer to develop students' critical thinking and mastery of the subject matter presented in class. The position requires a Master’s degree in counseling or related field, with leadership experience in an academic discipline.

Teaching, communication, and computer skills are essential. Schedule varies by modality and courses; appointment length is six months or less.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in counseling or related field; related fields include addiction studies, social work, psychology, behavioral health, marriage and family therapy, human relations, or another discipline directly to the course assigned.
Experience: meet tested experience requirements and provide leadership in an academic discipline and/or degree program; able to teach in subject area or possess specialty education/experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: teaching competence; strong English communication; proficiency in Microsoft Office and LMS; professionalism and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

Maintain student and course records with updates on the learning management system.
Maintain and file current course outlines, objectives and grading procedures for all courses.
Exhibit innovative and adaptive instructional methods.
Completes all mandatory training.
Fulfill all requirements as noted in the Adjunct Handbook.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
