Job summary

MIU City University Miami seeks a PhD-qualified professor to teach graduate Finance courses on campus and mentor students within an international academic community.

The role requires university-level teaching and fluency in English, with experience using Canvas LMS. The position offers a flexible schedule, professional development opportunities, and an online learning environment as part of a growing university.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Finance, Business with Finance coursework, or a closely related field from an accredited institution (No masters).
• University-level teaching experience is required.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to teach.Experience using Canvas LMS or similar learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level Finance courses on campus.
• Facilitate student learning through Canvas, LMS.
• Evaluate assignments, projects, and learning outcomes; maintain records.
• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and Capstone evaluations; provide academic mentorship to students.

Requirements

• Doctoral (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Finance, Business with Finance coursework, or a closely related field from an accredited institution (No masters)
• University-level teaching experience
• Experience using Canvas LMS or similar learning management systems
• Professional experience in Finance, Financial Management, Investment, Banking, or related fields
• Fluent English communication skills
• Valid U.S. work authorization
• Experience teaching classes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in curriculum development and instructional desing
• Industry experience in Financial Markets, Capital Markets, Investment Management, Stock Exchanges, or Financial Institutions
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, market structures, and investment analysis
