Job Summary

Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.

Primary Location: 9700 Wade Boulevard, Frisco, Texas, 75035

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director. Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off‑site locations and may include evening and weekend programs. Collin College is not hiring for online instruction at this time. May include Dual Credit courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Sedentary work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher in any field and hold one of the following professional certifications: CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE); OR Bachelor’s degree or higher in discipline/qualifying field; OR a Master's degree or higher in the qualifying fields or a Master's degree in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in the qualifying fields.
• This position is Security Sensitive, therefore candidates will be subject to a criminal background check. If selected for a dual credit course(s), an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required from the assigned ISD.

Employment Type

Part time. Compensation: Per Adjunct Faculty and CE Instructor Rates.
