Job summary

Savannah Technical College invites applications for an Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor. The adjunct faculty member will provide theory and clinical instruction to develop skills for employment in healthcare, including supervision of students during patient care.

Minimum qualifications include an active Georgia RN license, an associate degree in nursing, and a minimum of three years RN experience. Flexibility to teach day or evening classes and 12-hour clinical rotations is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current Georgia Nursing License in good standing.
• Minimum RN experience of 3 years within the last 7 years.
• Able to teach and supervise nursing students in clinical settings.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for nursing instruction.
• Instruct students and develop syllabi, goals and objectives; teach classes.
• Develop and coordinate curriculum; assess courses and coordinate reports.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia Board of Nursing standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff development.
• Maintain professional relationships with students and community partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
