Job summary
Lone Star College is seeking a part-time Adjunct instructor for the Certified Personal Trainer program in Continuing Education. Courses are offered at various times and locations, including evenings and weekends, with up to five classes per academic year per instructor.
Qualified candidates hold a CPT certification (ACE/NASM/Pfit) and have at least 3 years of related experience. The role involves curriculum development, exam support, student advising, and semester-by-semester teaching
Qualifications
- PFit/ACE/NASM CPT certification required
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Adjunct (part-time) faculty hire based on student demand
Responsibilities
- Teaches CPT courses in Continuing Education
- Develop and maintain curriculum and program growth
- Ensure ACE requirements and provide exam support
- Teach at various times and locations
- Submit required college reports and forms
- Create a syllabus for each course
- Advise students on academics
- Provide access to students via office hours and communications
- Evaluate student progress and inform them timely
- Maintain professional relationships with students and community
- Perform other related duties as assigned
