Job summary

Lehman College's Leonard Lief Library seeks an Adjunct Open Education Librarian for Fall 2026, with possibility for extension. The Open Education Adjunct will join the Library’s Open Resources Librarian in developing resources to support faculty in transitioning to OER and incorporating open pedagogical practices in their teaching.

The Open Education Adjunct will join the Library’s Open Resources Librarian in developing resources to support faculty in transitioning to OER and incorporating open pedagogical practices in their teaching. The Open Education Adjunct will help support Library projects and other related activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, support, and assistance for faculty with open platforms, such as CUNY Academic Commons, Pressbooks, and Manifold
• Apply principles of instructional design to create well-structured and accessible OER
• Collaborate with Open Resources Librarian on OER programs

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate degree in Library and Information Science from ALA-accredited program
• Availability to work on campus during daytime hours

Preferred:

• Experience with WordPress, Pressbooks, or Manifold
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards

Up to 15 hours per week at CUNY Non-teaching Adjunct hourly rate ($51-$58/hour), commensurate with education and experience
