Albright College seeks an adjunct instructor in Computer Science for undergraduate courses related to introductory programming, object-oriented programming, cybersecurity, and data science. Our growing programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence layer technical education on Albright's strong liberal arts foundation. Our computer science courses also attract students from across multiple other college majors including Cyber Criminology, Game and Simulation Development, and Business.
Our courses are in-person on our beautiful campus in Reading, Pennsylvania. Instructors must generally be able to be physically present on our campus for two days per week for each course. A typical course will be 3 or 4 credit hours and opportunities to teach more than one course per semester may be available. Adjunct instructors receive support including office space and teaching material.
Teaching experience is preferred but candidates exclusively with industry experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, or data science will be considered. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of computer science subject matter, enthusiasm for working with undergraduate students, and a passion for teaching. Evening scheduling may be available to accommodate working professionals.
