Job summary

Alliant International University in Phoenix is seeking adjunct professors for the School of Nursing & Health Sciences. Candidates will be considered for potential appointments during the 2026-2027 academic year; compensation is hourly between 32 and 38 USD; this is a temporary, non-benefits eligible role.

Applicants should hold a graduate degree in nursing; a doctorate is preferred. RN licensure in Arizona or a multi-state compact license is required depending on the program.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing; doctorate preferred in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered RN licensure in Arizona or multi-state compact license (depends on program).
• Minimum two years of full-time RN clinical experience; teaching or clinical experience preferred.
• Certification as Nurse Educator or in a specialty area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating Classroom and Distance/Distributed Learning.
• Course and syllabus preparation.
• Class curriculum coordination and planning.
• Assessment and evaluation of learners.
• Mentoring and advising of students.
• Holding office hours and meeting with students.
• Research/scholarship mentoring and supervision of MA theses and dissertations.
