Job summary

ECPI University is seeking instructors to teach in the undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program, offering practical hands-on instruction and leveraging industry experience.

No prior teaching experience is required; we provide training, mentoring, and ongoing faculty support. Candidates should be available evenings and weekends to support our busy adult learners. The role supports ABET-accredited programs within a modern teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor or other 3D design software; CAD/CAM experience a plus.
• 1+ years industry experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering; 7+ years preferred.
• Mechatronics background with control systems, instrumentation, and mechanicals.
• Experience in drafting & modeling, engineering mechanics, manufacturing & machining, machine design & FEA, thermal & fluid science.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program and provide hands-on instruction.
• No prior teaching experience required; participate in training, mentoring, and ongoing faculty support.
• Work evenings and weekends to accommodate adult learners.
