Job summary

SUNY Cortland invites applications for a pool of part-time temporary teaching positions. The department may hire for courses in language development, hearing and communication disorders, medical speech-language pathology, and related areas as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and applicable teaching experience. Positions are part-time with potential renewal depending on funding and departmental needs.

Position Summary

The department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part‑time temporary teaching positions. The department typically hires for the courses and subject areas listed below, but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses and subject areas may become available within the department.

Major Responsibilities

A classroom‑based 3 credit hour course pays $4,000 per class. Areas of instruction include normal language development, hearing and hearing disorders, medical speech‑language pathology, and/or other areas as needed by the department.

Functional and Supervisory Relationships

Reports to Department Chair; works closely with department faculty.

Required Qualifications

Appropriate level of experience and/or Master’s degree in a relevant content area.
