The University of Kansas School of Law invites qualified scholars and professionals to apply online for adjunct instructor positions for fall 2026. Positions are part-time and/or full-time, temporary and/or regular, with term appointments that may renew for up to two semesters.

Successful applicants must hold a J.D. (ABA-accredited) or an equivalent degree and demonstrate scholarly achievement; prior teaching in law is preferred. Applications reviewed starting July 15, 2026.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree requirement with 5 years' relevant experience, or Master's with 7 years.
• Evidence of research or scholarly achievement in the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses, develop materials and syllabi, lecture and assign work, grade and advise students, hold office hours.
• Collaborate with colleagues and adhere to departmental, school/college and university policies.
