Job summary

Saint Xavier University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach Language and Literature. Instructors may teach in-person, online, hybrid, or blended formats, with a preference for in-person instruction. Adjuncts handle course planning, instruction, evaluation, and timely submission of paperwork.

They may teach up to two undergraduate sections per semester and are paid by biweekly stipends. Ideal candidates hold a PhD/ABD or MA/MFA in a related field with college-level teaching

Qualifications

• PhD/ABD in related field with college-level teaching experience.
• MA in Writing with college-level teaching experience.
• MFA in creative writing or MA in a related writing field with teaching experience.
• MA in English Education with teaching experience at college level.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach courses in Language and Literature in classroom, online, or hybrid formats.
• Evaluate student work and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain clear communication with the department and complete required paperwork.
