Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar) invites applications for a pool of qualified adjunct faculty for Fall 2026 in the Interior Design program. Adjunct faculty may teach undergraduate courses depending on needs; candidates will be contacted for interviews as opportunities arise.

We seek educators who are knowledgeable, collaborative, and student-centered, able to mentor students from diverse cultural backgrounds and contribute to a dynamic, globally

Qualifications

Master's degree in interior design or allied disciplines or BFA with significant training/experience.
Demonstrated teaching or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
Ability to foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills for studio-based teaching.
Eligibility to work in Qatar or meet immigration/employment requirements under Qatari law.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate interior design courses as needed.
Contribute to student-centered learning and mentoring.
Collaborate with colleagues to support studio-based teaching.
