Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in Political Science adds applicants to a pool which is available to the department for selection as needed for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and/or Summer 2026.**Minimum educational requirements for undergraduate level courses:**Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution.**Minimum educational requirements for graduate level courses:** Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline, or closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution.**Duties:** Required to teach Political Science course(s) as needed, particularly the core introductory government classes (PSCI 2305 U.S. Government & Politics and PSCI 2306 State & Local Government with Emphasis on Texas), in one or more of the following modalities: face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online. Courses may be conducted as an 8-week term or 16-week term.
