Course: The first course of a non-calculus based two-course sequence in the basic principles of physics covering the general areas of mechanics, thermal physics, and fluids.

Term: Fall 2025 (September 4 - December 18)

Qualifications: A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Physics or related field. Official transcripts due upon hire.




PHY 101L | Introductory Physics Laboratory
Course: Lab component for PHY 101, the first course of a non-calculus based two-course sequence in the basic principles of physics covering the general areas of mechanics, thermal physics, and fluids.

Section A: 2:00 p.m. - 3:50 p.m. | Mondays | On Campus

Section B: 8:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. | Tuesdays | On Campus

PHY 301L | Electricity & Magnetism Laboratory
Course: Lab component for PHY 301, a course covering the physical principles underlying modeling of charges and currents, including circuit elements and fundamentals of analog electrical circuits. Lecture topics include Maxwell's equations, electric and magnetic fields in vacuum and in matter, potentials and the uniqueness theorem, current and voltage sources, resistors, Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Laws, Thevenin and Norton theorems.
