Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, TN seeks an Adjunct Instructor in Geology to deliver classroom and laboratory instruction and to foster a positive learning environment on campus.
Responsibilities include planning and teaching courses, supervising student activities, submitting grades, and maintaining office hours. A Master’s degree in Geology from a regionally accredited institution is required.
Adjunct Instructor – Geology
To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.
College of Sciences and Nursing
Faculty should be able to teach courses on campus and attend required meetings. Online courses may be a possibility, but this is not a remote position
Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the Geology teaching field

Adjuncts are hired on an as-needed basis. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
