Job summary

Southeast Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for the Hebron Learning Center (PTT) for 2026-2027. Instructors teach non-credit classes and workshops, sharing expertise in leisure, trades, business, computers, and related fields.

Under supervision of the Learning Center Coordinator, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instruction, foster an inclusive learning environment, and coordinate with Continuing Education staff on schedules, attendance, and program needs.

• Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the subject area being taught.
• Ability to communicate effectively and engage adult learners with varying backgrounds and skill levels.
• Skill in creating a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instruction for noncredit community education and leisure learning classes in accordance with approved course descriptions and program objectives.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation and lifelong learning.
• Communicate effectively with students and Continuing Education staff regarding class expectations, schedules, materials, attendance, and program needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance and class records, submit required documentation in a timely manner, and follow all college policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
