Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Engineering Systems Technology adjunct instructor roles to teach day, evening, and online classes across Covington, Dyersburg, Paris, and other off-campus centers. Initial assignments may shift location each semester, with certification and full use of the eLearn CMS expected.
Responsibilities include delivering courses, preparing materials, tracking attendance and grades, and communicating curriculum needs to the chair/dean.
Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Engineering Systems Technology adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. The applicant will also attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to the established deadline, and will communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes as appropriate to their assigned chair/dean. This position reports to the Chair of Business & Technology and the Dean of Arts, Sciences, & Technologies.
Teach assigned courses for discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
Sedentary: Desk work; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environment controls to assure health and comfort.
Associate degree in Engineering Systems Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, or related field with related, relevant experience.
Ability to communicate effective with students and other college personnel required.
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
