Texas Southmost College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor, Corporate Workforce Trainer to deliver customized, short-term workforce training for business and industry partners. This project-based role adapts to employer demand and contract timelines, serving as a subject matter expert who translates industry knowledge into practical, skills-based learning for adult learners.

Assignments may vary in duration, schedule, modality and location, and do not carry an expectation of ongoing employment.

• Administer assessments, evaluations and feedback tools after each training.
• Document attendance, completion and outcomes data accurately.
• Adapt teaching strategies to adult learners with diverse experience levels and learning styles.
• Attend the workplace regularly and follow a work schedule to meet deadlines.
• Promote positive morale and teamwork within the unit and provide exceptional customer service.
• Complete required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Texas Southmost College.

Responsible for the advancement of customized education and training programs for the corporate environment. The Adjunct Instructor, Corporate Workforce Trainer is a project-based role responsible for delivering customized, short term workforce training for business and industry partners. This position is industry facing and flexible by design, with instructional assignments driven by employer demand, contract timelines and workforce initiatives. Adjunct trainers serve as subject matter experts who translate industry knowledge into practical, skills-based learning experiences for adult learners. Assignments may vary by duration, schedule, modality and location, and do not carry an expectation of ongoing or semester-based employment

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Serve as a project based adjunct instructor delivering noncredit workforce training aligned to employer needs and contractual requirements. Collaborate with employers and college workforce staff to customize curriculum, materials and instructional approaches for specific training engagements. Deliver engaging instruction in corporate, classroom, virtual or hybrid environments based on program scope. Administer assessments, evaluations and feedback tools after each training. Documents attendance, completion and outcomes data accurately. Adapts teaching strategies to adult learners with diverse experience levels and learning styles. Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite. Completes duties and responsibilities in compliance with college standards, policies and guidelines. Promotes positive morale and teamwork within the functional unit and provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty and the community. Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Texas Southmost College ( TSC ). Supports the values and institutional goals as defined in the College’s Strategic Plan. Working hours may include evenings, holidays or weekends depending on deadline requirements and special events. Performs other duties as assigned.
