Qualifications

• Associate degree in construction technology, carpentry or related field.
• Minimum 5 years (10,000 hours) construction experience if no associate degree.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Strong teamwork, reliability and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Construction Technology courses at El Dorado Correctional Facility.
• Deliver instruction in OSHA10, carpentry basics, building systems and related topics.
• Coordinate with campus staff; arrange a facility tour for interested applicants.

Job Duties

Butler Community College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Construction Technology courses at the El Dorado Correctional Facility. Construction Technology courses will be focused in one or more construction subject areas: OSHA10, Craft Fundamentals, Intro. to Craft Skills, Intro. to Carpentry, Floors and Stairs, Ceiling, Walls and Building Systems, Roofing and Exteriors, Cabinet Making and Installation, Intro. to Electrical, Intro. to Masonry, Intro. to HVAC & Plumbing, and/or Construction Management.

Associate degree in construction technology, carpentry or related field; 5 years (10,000 hours) minimum experience without an associate degree.
