Job Description

The Adjunct Technical Instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for an assigned program. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing, revising, and evaluating the program area curriculum; utilizing all available resources to innovate and adapt to evolving program and industry needs. The instructor provides up‑to‑date skills training and instruction to meet the learning needs of students, ensuring a safe and secure instructional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Instructional Design & Assessment: develop, revise, and continually update competency‑based curriculum and instructional materials that are current and aligned with college standards.
  • Instructional Delivery: prepare and deliver high‑quality instruction, facilitate learning, and organize daily classes using a variety of creative and innovative techniques.
  • Instructional Management: fulfill the assigned schedule, maintain accurate student records, and ensure safety and equipment security while providing opportunities for student evaluation.
  • Student Success: advise students on career choices, job opportunities, and other occupational information; promote student retention and placement.
  • Program Recruitment & Promotion: participate in tours and recruitment events, assist in departmental recruitment planning, and use data‑driven practices to manage enrollment and meet program goals.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated competency in the field of Aviation Maintenance, with relevant experience, certifications, licenses, and education.
  • Associate’s Degree in Airframe Maintenance and Powerplant highly preferred; A&P license desired.
  • Competency with technology that supports learning and teaching.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and commitment to the mission and vision of TSTC.
  • Part‑time adjunct position.
