Southern Oregon University invites applications for an adjunct pool in the Physical Education Activities program. This pool is for temporary, part‑time appointments and may span one term or multiple terms across the triennium.
Positions may be offered online, in hybrid formats, or on Medford or Ashland campuses. Successful candidates prepare lesson plans, advise students, maintain office hours, participate in curriculum planning, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Adjuncts are for specific temporary, part‑time, limited‑duration teaching positions. Positions can be one term (thirteen weeks) or multiple terms as needed.
Rate: $650 per earned learning unit (ELU) for term‑by‑term adjunct instructors. Full‑time equivalency is typically less than 7.5 ELU per term, up to 15 ELU per term or 45 ELU per year for 1.0 full‑time equivalence.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
The position is classified as exempt and is not subject to overtime regulations under the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA). An earned background check is required, and the incumbent is a mandated reporter under Oregon law. The role may require flexibility in working hours, including potential evening, weekend, and additional hours, and travel for training or professional development.
