Job summary

Neumont University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in person on campus in Utah. In this role you will develop leadership and mentoring skills while guiding students through AI fundamentals, data modeling, and ML concepts.

You will review student code, design hands-on projects, and deliver course material within a 5–10 week timeframe starting October 5, 2026. The position requires industry experience and a commitment to excellent teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Industry teaching or mentoring experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• In-person, on-campus teaching in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Teach AI and related subjects in person on campus in Utah.
• Prepare and submit teaching materials to the Neumont vault.
• Collaborate with supervisor to identify areas for personal improvement and course updates.
• Use feedback from evaluations to improve teaching methods and student outcomes.
• Deliver course content as defined in the syllabus and maintain learning goals.
• Maintain an up-to-date syllabus, materials, and grades in the Neumont LMS.
• Provide a safe and engaging learning environment and respond to student inquiries promptly.

TIME COMMITMENT

Courses begin October 5 2026 and are 5 to 10 weeks long depending on the courseWe make classes work around full time work schedules as we offer AM and PM classesAdjuncts may spend up to 10 hours a week outside of class doing grading and familiarizing themselves with the curriculum This time commitment lessens once they get the hang of teaching

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

• Implement best practices in teaching and project based learning
• Submit all new teaching materials to Neumont vault upon completion of each course
• Work with supervisor to identify areas for personal development and course improvement
• Utilize feedback from mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations to improve teaching
• Identify innovative teaching methods to solve curricular problems
• Teach material defined in the course description and syllabus
• Maintain and meet the listed student learning goals
• Utilize the Neumont LMS to keep an updated syllabus course materials and grades
• Provide a safe learning environment for students
• Answer and deal respectfully with student complaints and problems
• Use effective assessments that measure student learning
