Position Summary

Under general supervision of and in accordance with Clovis Community College and departmentally established practices and expectations, adjunct instructors work collaboratively with other faculty within the College and their discipline to ensure that key concepts of the specific discipline are addressed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide students with a complete syllabus containing course outcomes and competencies.
• Present well‑prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus.
• Promote development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving, assessment, and decision‑making; provide timely information and feedback on academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of student academic performance; possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of all college policies.
• Use technology tools including Canvas, Starfish, e‑mail, MS Office, and the Internet.
• Perform physical activities that include continuous movement within the College, continuous sitting, handling of small objects such as paper and pen, and pushing or pulling of up to 10 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
