Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks an experienced instructor to develop and teach a foundational health science research course for undergrad students, as part of a three-course elective series. You will meet individually with students, review assignments, and communicate progress with the Chair.

The role requires a PhD in a health-related field and at least two years of teaching undergraduate research courses and mentoring capstones. Courses may be offered in-person twice weekly or in a hybrid format.

Qualifications

• PhD required in health-related field.
• Minimum two years teaching undergraduate research courses.
• Minimum two years mentoring undergraduates on senior theses/capstones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach a foundational research course to undergrad health sciences students as the first course in a three-course series.
• Meet and assist students individually as needed.
• Review and grade required student assignments.
• Correspond with students on Canvas or inter-campus systems.
• Meet with the Chair to discuss student progress.
• Submit final grades to Banner by the due date.
