Black Hawk College is seeking adjunct/part-time instructors for its Welding Program at various campuses. Candidates should possess significant industry experience in welding, along with teaching proficiency. General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/part-time instructors for the Welding Program. Classes are available at the QC Campus in Moline, East Campus in Galva, as well as off-campus sites.

Description of Duties
The faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience; developing and executing appropriate methods of evaluating student performance; and developing, securing, and maintaining the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in welding trades, agriculture, mechanics, industrial technology, or a related field, or accredited trade/technical program completion in welding with a minimum of five years of industry welding experience, or no degree with eight years of industry welding experience. Experience should include Arc, Mig, Tig, Oxyacetylene Welding and Cutting. CWI or CWE certification is preferred or the ability to certify within 3 years is required. Teaching and/or training experience is preferred. Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):
Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
