Job summary

The University of Denver seeks adjunct instructors in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to teach a variety of courses across Electrical and Computer Engineering. This posting covers multiple openings for Winter, Spring, and Summer quarters.

In-person teaching will be scheduled one to two times per week, with course design and canvas management responsibilities. Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree and prior teaching experience, including experience with graduate

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Previous teaching experience is required.
• Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in person once or twice a week (course dependent).
• Design or adapt a course with learning outcomes, materials, and a calendar.
• Create and maintain Canvas container for the course.
• Assign papers, exams and other deliverables.
• Grade in a timely manner.
• Attend quarterly school meetings and monthly faculty meetings if requested.
• Participate in recruitment and informational events as needed.
• Work with students to guarantee the best possible student experience.
• Provide clear value and concise directions for students.
• Meet with students via Zoom or in person to discuss grades, assignments, and/or project status.
• Support enrollment activities as needed.
