Daytona State College is seeking an instructor to teach courses in sonography, aligning with college policies and the Basic Course Information sheets. The role includes preparing grades and coordinating material with faculty to support student learning.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in sonography or related field with ARDMS/ARRT credentials and has clinical experience. Proficiency with Office 365 and virtual tools is preferred to assist in clinical placement supervision.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in sonography or a related field and must possess appropriate credentials for ARDMS and/or ARRT (S, VS) sonography professional license. Other specific credentials for adult cardiac, breast, musculoskeletal will be considered preferred credentials. A candidate who possesses the minimum combination of licensing such as abdomen and vascular, or abdomen and obstetrics may also be considered.
Candidate must have a minimum of three years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field.
Must be proficient with the use of computers, use of Office 365, and virtual communication software. Preference for candidates with experience in clinical placement and supervision of students.
Clinical experience working with diagnostic medical sonography students is highly preferred.
Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques is also preferred.
