Essential Job Functions

Aurora University is looking for adjunct faculty to work in the BSW program, with opportunities to teach across the BSW core curriculum. There is a particular need for instructors qualified to teach the courses listed below:

• Social Work with Groups
• Social Work with Individuals
• Human Behavior in the Social Environment I and II
• Social Work Research
• Social Work with Communities and Organizations

Teaching Responsibilities

• Facilitate courses in person at the Aurora campus.
• Meet weekly grading deadlines and maintain up-to-date gradebooks.
• Be responsive to student email messages and requests for assistance.
• Provide mentorship in the discipline and content expertise.
• Respond to all university and departmental requests, emails, messages, and correspondence.

Essential Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• An MSW degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience are required.
• Weekday availability is required, as BSW courses are offered in a cohort structure on either M/W/F or T/Th.
• Experience teaching is strongly preferred.

Compensation
