Job summary

Governors State University’s College of Health and Human Services seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach BSW and MSW Foundation Level courses and Field Practicum and Integrative Seminars. Adjuncts are hired on a course basis and are not part of the faculty bargaining unit.

Salary ranges from $2,100 to $2,500 per course, with teaching responsibilities for specific courses during a term.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work.
• Minimum two years Post MSW Practice Experience.
• Teaching Experience of one year minimum (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Have extensive practice experience in the field.
• Demonstrate knowledge in the assigned teaching area.

The majorresponsibilities of an adjunct faculty member are to have extensivepractice experience, knowledge in the assigned teaching area andparticipate in all related curricular meetings as needed.
