Primary Purpose

The College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University is seeking adjunct faculty to assist with the clinical and didactic training of dental students under the direction of the Department Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare and deliver instruction to dental students.
  • Facilitate activities in the classroom, simulation laboratory, clinic, and other settings.
  • Act as a liaison between the students and the faculty course director.
  • Provide and facilitate examinations, including grading consistent with course requirements.
  • Teach or facilitate classes on varied schedules to accommodate diverse student needs.
  • Follow the course curriculum as assigned.
  • Prepare assignments.
  • Evaluate student performance and learning.
  • Maintain an active classroom environment conducive to student learning and success.
  • Assess clinical education needs and patient and client teaching needs using a variety of methods.
  • Demonstrate patient care in clinical units.
  • Complete NSU mandatory trainings (HIPAA, technology, Canvas, etc.).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
