Adjunct Faculty – Part‑time
We are seeking Adjunct Assistant Professors to teach undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses for the College of Business. Positions are part‑time and can be taught online or in hybrid format.
Job Description
Under the direction of the College of Business Program Chairs, the successful candidate will:
- Review and manage syllabus and course materials
- Facilitate class instruction and promote student learning
- Teach assigned courses in accordance with Westcliff University learning objectives and session plans
- Administer student evaluations using course rubrics
- Post grades and provide timely feedback via the LMS
- Submit grades for assignments, discussion boards, exams, and other assessments promptly
- Participate in Faculty Senate, program development, and committee work
- Adhere to Westcliff University policies and protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
- Doctoral degree (or doctorate in progress with at least 15 credits in the specialty) from a regionally or internationally accredited institution
- Experience teaching online, on‑campus, or hybrid formats
- Five years of university‑level teaching in the discipline
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Available weekdays Monday–Friday 6:30 P.M.–10:00 P.M. for courses at the Irvine campus; Monday–Friday 6:00 P.M.–9:30 P.M. for courses at the Cerritos campus
- Available weekends Friday 7–9:30 P.M. and Saturday 9–5 P.M. for 16‑week classes (meeting 4 times)
- Able to travel to the Irvine and/or Cerritos campus for in‑person classes
Education
- Master’s degree from a regionally or internationally accredited institution (Required)
- Doctoral degree from a regionally or internationally accredited institution (Preferred)
