Job description

The Physical Therapy Institute at Midwestern University, Glendale,Arizona, invites applications from Physical Therapists to providepatient care and oversee students in the Therapy Institute. Thisposition is benefit-ineligible and designed to provide ongoingpart-time (up to 2 days/week) clinical coverage, with the potentialfor additional hours during periods of increased patient demand,provider leave, or temporary staffing needs. This position isclinic-based and does not include classroom teaching or didacticresponsibilities.

Position Responsibilities include direct patient care within the PhysicalTherapy Institute, with clinical practice emphasis in outpatientmusculoskeletal, geriatric, and neurological rehabilitation. Theposition will likely include supervision and mentoring of physicaltherapy students during patient care activities in only theclinical setting, consistent with the Institute's educationalmission. Adjunct faculty are expected to collaborate effectivelywith full-time faculty, staff, and learners to support high-qualitypatient care and clinical education.

Schedule and Effort This is a regular part-time clinic position with a predictablebaseline schedule, with the opportunity for increased hours duringhigh patient wait times, provider outages, and faculty or staffleave.

Required Qualifications Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

1. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accreditedprogram
2. Minimum of three (3) years of outpatient clinicalexperience
3. Prior experience working with physical therapy students and/orresidents
4. Current Arizona Physical Therapy license (or eligibility attime of hire)
