Carroll Community College seeks an adjunct Nursing faculty member to teach on-site in a clinical nursing setting for one 12-hour day per week, with responsibilities including grading, preparing lessons, and maintaining an on-campus presence. The position supports the Nursing Department and reports to the Chair, Allied Health.
Applicants should have a Master’s in Nursing or be enrolled in a Master’s program; college teaching experience and clinical nursing facility experience are preferred.

Residency restrictions apply. The College does not hire solely online instructors living outside of Maryland. Carroll employees may live in other states, but they must physically work in Maryland the majority of the time. For income tax obligations, employees must be a resident of DC, VA, WV, MD, or PA on the date employment commences. In addition, candidates must be willing to come to campus for identity verification within 3 business days of hire date.
Seeking adjunct faculty member to work with students on-site in a skilled nursing facility for one 12-hour clinical day per week.
Adjunct faculty are assigned primarily teaching duties. Actual hours worked on- and off-campus in any given week can vary according to grading, class preparation requirements, professional development activities, and office hours. Adjunct faculty member responsibilities are primarily to teach students, assess learning, and engage in professional development. Nursing Adjunct Faculty report to the Chair, Allied Health or designee.
This work is normally sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
College campus, direct contact with students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common and shared areas, offices, campus environments and clinical sites. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting and training rooms and clinical sites. Use of safe workplace practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations and all college policies. Observance of college vehicle policies and traffic laws when/if driving a college vehicle.
