Summary:

Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Professor of Movement. The course introduces students to the techniques involved in physical movement and expression. Through practical application students study how to use their body effectively in performance.

Job Description:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as undergraduate faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences teaching Movement.
  • Participate in the college's assessment program of student performance
  • Timely response to student questions and concerns
  • Timely submission of university reports and requirements, such as attendance, grades, and student progress reports

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Candidates must be proficient with using technology for instructional delivery, such as learning management systems (e.g. Canvas) and presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must have an appreciation of different learning styles to incorporate into their instructional delivery
  • Candidates must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • MFA in Drama, Theatre, Acting, Musical Theatre, Directing, Dance, or other theatrical performance arts equivalent. If candidate does not hold an MFA, candidate may provide equivalent professional experience as justification.
  • Professional experience as an actor, director, singer, and/or dancer.
  • Preferably, network of professional colleagues and connections.
  • Preferably, candidate is still actively working in the industry.
  • All degrees must have been completed at a regionally accredited institution
