Governors State University’s College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of local Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach undergraduate courses in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDSS) in the Chicagoland area.
Adjuncts are hired per course, with a salary range of $500 to $3,750 per course, and preferred qualifications include a doctoral degree and online teaching experience. We invite qualified individuals to submit a faculty profile, CV, transcripts, and references.

We are particularly interested in adjunct faculty to teach IDSS courses in the following areas:

At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.
