The Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM) seeksAdjuncts to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in xxx. Adjunct instructorswill be given the learning objectives and requirements for each class assigned. MTSMoffers an Undergraduate degree in Business with Concentrations in AccountingSystems, Finance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing and ManagementInformation Systems and an undergraduate degree in Financial Technology (FinTech).MTSM also offers graduate degrees including a Master in Business Administration,Master of Science in Management, and a Ph.D. in Business Data Science.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop anddeliverlectures; prepare and grade assignments; Learn and use the learning managementsystem - Canvas. Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class(i.e. office hours) as needed; Verify presence and submit grades to the Registrar at theend of the semester.
Previous teaching experience; Master's degree from anaccredited institution in the area applicable to teaching area. Currently employed withduties related to the teaching subject area. Professional experience substantial induration and level of responsibility; Sustained academic or business related orprofessional engagement activities within the last 5 years.For those who have taughtany college-level course before you must submit teaching evaluations; all candidates atleast two reference letters are required. The letters should focus onteaching/presentation skills, domain knowledge and willingness to help others(students); and all candidates must include a personal statement.
Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in the areaapplicable to teaching area; Professional engagement activities which involveapplication of specialized knowledge.
AFT-UCAN
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2668per contact hour (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
